The "Tubbercurry Tornado" has spent most of his career at Sligo Rovers, spending one season away to Galway United.[1]
After moving from midfielder to striker, Cretaro became a prolific goalscorer under manager Paul Cook, scoring 13 league goals during the 2009 campaign [1], and also netting crucial goals in the FAI Cup, League Cup and Europa League.[2] . Cretaro's form was rewarded during the season when he won Player of the Month for June 2009.[3]
His final game in Sligo colours came in the FAI Cup Final when Rovers went 2-1 to Sporting Fingal.[4] He then signed for Pat Fenlon's Bohemians squad in time for the 2010 season[5]
Cretaro scored his first competitive goal for Bohs in the Setanta Sports Cup against Glentoran in Dalymount Park on the 13th March, and followed that up 3 days later to net his first league goal for the club away to U.C.D.[6]
He returned for his third spell with Rovers for the 2011 Season and scored his first goal in the Setanta Sports Cup game with Sligo Rovers.
Correct as of 7 November 2011.
